UltraComposite
FRP Sheet Piling and Round Piles

CMI engineered UltraComposite, CMI’s line of Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) sheet piling, as an alternative to steel sheet piling. This product, manufactured in an ISO-certified production facility, presents a huge opportunity to make your project cost less, last longer, and leave a lower environmental impact.

UltraComposite offers the following benefits over steel:

  • Weighs 75% less than steel
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Little to no maintenance
  • No toxic preservatives
  • Low material and transportation costs
  • Can often be delivered to job sites with shorter lead times

In addition to ‘Z’ and Box Profile sheet piling options, round or pipe piling is also available. CMI’s UltraComposite FRP round pilings allow engineers and contractors to design and build without the issues associated with steel. Steel pipe rusts, is heavy and expensive to transport, not environmentally friendly and requires long-term maintenance. Project engineers often specify UltraComposite in place of PZ22 and PZ27 steel sheets because of corrosion concerns. Our products contain no toxic preservatives, and can be safely used in bodies of water and areas with environmental restrictions.

Composite sheet piling and round piles have been successfully used over the past decade in thousands of commercial and private projects with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, United States Navy and numerous state and local municipalities. UltraComposite products are made in an ISO 9001:2008 certified production facility, ensuring every part meets our published specifications. They are also manufactured using the latest pultrusion technologies, allowing us to incorporate more high-strength glass fibers than other technologies. They also produce a more consistent shape, thickness, and dimensional tolerances. See how UltraComposite can make your project cost less, last longer, and leave a lower environmental impact.
